About the Artist

Miao Jingchang, born in 1966 in Hebei Province, China, graduated in 1990 from the Department of Fine Arts at Inner Mongolia Normal University, specializing in oil painting. His works often feature themes drawn from the vast northern wilderness that he is familiar with, depicting simple hills, expansive slopes, skies, and clouds. In these unadorned scenes, his brushwork reveals the unique characteristics of northern landscapes—quiet, simple, and vast. Through prolonged observation, these works draw the viewer into a mysterious spiritual realm, almost as if conjuring a supernatural charm.
