Luo Ruey, born in 1957 in Changhua, Taiwan, graduated in 1970 from the National Taiwan University of Arts (now National Taiwan University of the Arts). A renowned designer, he now focuses on creating contemporary art and leading a creative life. Luo Ruey is an abstract expressionist painter, a style of art that has gained global attention, particularly in the United States. Abstract expressionism is often viewed as a form of art that expresses emotions and thoughts subjectively through shapes and colors, rather than directly depicting nature.
