Romero Britto, born on October 6, 1963, in Brazil, currently resides and creates in Miami, USA. Britto is hailed as the heir to pop art masters Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. His work blends graffiti, pop art, and cubist elements, characterized by bold patterns and vivid colors. He has garnered a global following, with significant collectors including former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, as well as celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Jordan. Britto's art is frequently showcased in renowned public spaces, such as the O2 Dome in Berlin, Hyde Park in London, and John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
Britto's commercial collaborations span the globe, working with prestigious brands such as Banco do Brasil, Absolut Vodka, Audi, Bentley, and Hublot. He was invited to create artworks for these brands. Initially, Britto painted on paper or cardboard, but his 1983 European tour introduced him to the works of Picasso and Matisse, inspiring him to develop his own distinctive style. In addition to his art, Britto is deeply involved in charitable work, supporting over 250 organizations and dedicating himself to helping others while conveying positive energy through his creations.
