About the Artist
Chi Hong, born in 1942 in Chongqing, is the wife of Master Pang Jun and is one of the notable "Pang family’s third-generation artists" in the Chinese art world. Her work is deeply influenced by the Impressionist painting style. Building on Western Impressionist techniques, she has accumulated rich experience through continuous sketching, demonstrating a unique understanding of modern painting techniques and creating lively, emotionally charged works with a strong sense of humanistic concern.
Chi Hong is known for her beautiful depictions of landscapes and vibrant flowers and plants. Over the past three decades, her focus has gradually shifted to animal themes. A lifelong animal lover, after settling in Taiwan in 1987, she has long been dedicated to rescuing and adopting stray animals. She transforms her deep affection for animals into creative inspiration, making these creatures the vivid subjects of her paintings.
